Sosna Biniam

Co-President of the Yale University Chapter

Sosna Biniam is a junior at Yale University studying Economics. She is originally from Eritrea, but was raised in Seattle, Washington. A member of Girls Who Invest, Sosna spent this summer working at NYSTRS as a Fixed Income Intern. This coming summer, she will be working at JP Morgan in their Asset Management division.

In her free time, Sosna enjoys playing sports like volleyball and basketball. She also enjoys going on hikes and spending time in nature.

Alex Monteagudo

Co-President of the Yale University Chapter

Alex Monteagudo is a junior at Yale University studying Economics and Political Science. He is originally from Jacksonville, Florida and returned to the city as an Operational Controls Intern for EverBank. 

In his free time, Alex volunteers with Matriculate, plays pickup basketball, and paints.

Abel Geleta

Co-Vice President of Education

Abel Geleta is a sophomore in Berkeley College from Arlington, Virginia. He is studying History of Science, Medicine and Public Health and pursuing certificates in Global Health and Statistics & Data Science. He will serve as the VP of Education for the inaugural BlackGen @ Yale board. This upcoming summer he will be a strategy analyst intern at Deloitte. 

In his free time, Abel enjoys playing basketball, watching and practicing mixed martial arts, running, and creating content for his mental health Instagram page (@ag.wellness).

Abdoulie Sarr

Co-Vice President of Education

Co-VP of Education of the Yale University Chapter
Abdoulie Sarr is from Gambia, though he grew up in Paris, France. He is a senior at Yale University, double majoring in Chemical Engineering and Economics. During his junior summer, Abdoulie worked as a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs, in the Asset Management division. He will be returning to Goldman after graduation with the Fundamental Equities team.

Abdoulie is a passionate sports fan and particularly enjoys soccer and basketball. He also enjoys watching TV shows and playing FIFA in his free time.

Dayra Mejia-Reyes

Vice President of Recruitment

Dayra Mejia-Reyes is a junior at Yale University, majoring in Economics with a Certificate in Education Studies. This summer, she will work as an investment analyst at the Yale University Investments Office. Dayra is actively involved in extracurriculars, serving as the VP of Recruitment for BlackGen Capital and as a Student Photographer for the Yale Alumni Association. She also holds a leadership role in the Benjamin Franklin College Council and volunteers with organizations like Yale VITA and Bridges ESL.

Her professional interests include finance, particularly in the areas of fixed income and real estate investment management. In her free time, Dayra enjoys photography, creative writing, and community service.

Aiden Wright

Vice President of Communications

Aiden Wright is is a junior at Yale University studying Economics and Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. This past summer, he worked at Pfizer as a Commercial Strategy and Innovation intern. Next summer, he will be working at Goldman Sachs in their Global Investment Research division.

In his free time, Aiden enjoys reading, trying new foods, thrifting, and watching movies.

Juliette Garcia

Vice President of Public Relations

Juliette Garcia is a junior at Yale University studying Applied Math with a certificate in Energy Studies. She is interested in impact investing and worked last summer with a startup in that field.

In her free time, Juliette loves coding, drawing, and playing guitar.

Emma Lazo

Vice President of Marketing

Emma Lazo is from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and originally from El Salvador. She is a sophomore at Yale University, double majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics and Spanish. This past summer, Emma conducted research and studied behavioral economics abroad in England at the University of Oxford. In the winter, she will participate in an externship partnered with Paragon One and PwC. Emma seeks to secure an internship in consulting this upcoming summer.

Etana Heda

Vice President of Finance

Etana Heda is a sophomore at Yale majoring in Economics. He’s originally from the Washington D.C area, and this past summer, he did deal sourcing for a venture capital firm.

In his free time, Etana likes to spend time outdoors, workout, and play or listen to music.
